Evaluating Empowered’s existing brand, we were inspired by the things that were working well – their bubbly geometric shapes – and considered how these elements could potentiate something more expansive. Not only are they a continuation of the boldly punctuated logo, but the circles represent EDI work's holistic, unifying, and kinetic nature.When used in data visualization, these elements communicate both the power of a group working together and – in contrast – the isolation that may be felt by underserved or underrepresented people. With typography that is both modern and down-to-earth, a vibrant colour palette, and a bold new visual language, Empowered’s newly minted brand is equal parts friendly and brainy.
